A China-based wholesale company has began selling home buttons it claims is designed for the iPhone 5. The website claims that the new home button is more square like rather than the traditional circle shape. Although this part could signal that the release date of the sixth generation iPhone is soon, it does seem a bit unusual that there are no other replacement parts available that could signal an actual hardware change. An LCD’s connector pins could reveal the new hardware which is expected to be available in the new iPhone. What also seems to be unusual is that no actual electronic components are available and as we have seen in the past, Apple Inc is very strict in keeping the details of its new iPhone unavailable to the public. Currently, the home button is available in Apple’s two traditional colors; black and white.
The home button can be purchased for $5 plus shipping and handling at TVC-Mall’s website. The pictures below are the ones shown at the websites product page.
