Apple Dominated the Computer Industry in Q4

On February 1, 2012, in General News, by Ian Ziyar

According to recent research, Apple is now the leading computer giant, well ahead of Hewlett-Packard and Dell during the fourth quarter.  Apple has shipped roughly 20 million personal computers, of those, 15 million were iPads and 5 million were MacBooks.  These 20 million computers are 17% of the computer market which was shipped out in Q4.  Apple’s iPad has been an immense success to the computer industry and so far other companies such as HP have not had such remarkable success with their tablet computers.  Apple’s newest innovations always seem to cause hype in the technological world and currently on the radar is the iPad 3, which is expected to be released next few months.
